Stonehouse are bringing the blues back with their fantastic new single Looking For Forgiveness and we’re delighted to be able to offer an exclusive stream of the track for your listening pleasure.
The beating heart of Looking For Forgiveness is a familiar bluesy guitar riff – it flows alongside the rock guitar and drums to create a stomping belter of a blues-rock track. Stonehouse have somehow created the perfect blues track, and it’s a song that will be the soundtrack to many a summertime adventure – it just sounds great in any environment, whether it be in a park or on a beach.
Lead vocalist Colin Roberts had this to say about Looking For Forgiveness – “Initially it was a rant about religion, and suddenly it took a different shape. I don’t know enough! I put frustrations aside and hey presto a simple story unfolded. I think it highlights the contradiction that religion (in my hugely uneducated opinion) is a matter of them and us. I have a good friend who is devout and yet hysterically hypocritical. Shalom.”
The euphoric combination of a soaring organ and the winding lead guitar are genuinely uplifting, and the two sounds compliment eachother to produce a fantastic little blues-rock number that blues and rock fans should (and will) be excited to hear and enjoy this summer. They’re big, they’re bluesy and they rock harder than any band we’ve heard for a long time – we absolutely love Stonehouse.
