You’d be a bit daft to miss out on these
Those Arctic Monkeys seem like nice lads, don’t they? Sure, they may have gone a bit Bowie with their last album, and they may well have experimented with some seriously dodgy haircuts over the years; but, throughout it all, we couldn’t help but to get the impression that, deep down, they’re pretty damn good guys.
We bet they don’t change a bit when the sun goes down
That, dear reader, is why we weren’t susprised in the slightest when a message reached one on one HQ proclaiming that the Sheffield lads are auctioning off some super-exclusive signed prints for a cause that’s close to a lot of people’s hearts: youth homelessness.
The email from the charity’s PR person told us ‘the auction of prints taken by Zackery Michael of previously unseen photographs of the band taken during the making of and tour surrounding the current album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino will go live on Tuesday 25th September at 9am from here‘, and we’re not sure that we can do a better job of explaining it than that – so, let’s just leave that there for you and get on to the other stuff.
The collection includes a bunch of photographs shot between November 2017 and August 2018 – or, to put it simply, the precise time period in which the band recorded their new album. It’s being auctioned for Centrepoint, which is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity and works to support young people to gain essential life skills and move into education and employment. We think that it’s a great cause, and we know that we’ll be placing a bid or two – we hope that you will too.
