They’ve announced their debut album, too
Excuse us for our crudeness, but do allow us to say: WHAT A BLOODY SONG THIS IS.
What is it, you ask? Well, it’s the new single from Leigh just-throw-the-kitchen-sink-at-it types The Lottery Winners, and it’s the most instantaneous piece of arena-ready indie-pop that we’ve heard all year. Take the choppy indie-rock of some of The Wombats‘ later work, add a chorus that Kings Of Leon would be proud of, and throw in a touch of Sam Fender‘s arena-sized bombast for good measure; then, we’d say that you’re pretty much there.
We might call it an insanely strong comeback single, and we might call it a stupidly tasty sampler from their forthcoming self-titled debut album; but, you can just call it Hawaii.
