You remember Danny Starr, don’t you?
He’s the London singer-songwriter who takes your standard acoustic pop song, plonks a space-age twist on it, and then throws in the kind of sugar-sweet melody that wouldn’t be out of place on a DMA’S album. The results are, naturally, Very Good Indeed.
Of course, you might also remember Danny from the Selfie Session he recorded for us back in 2016.
He’d just released his new single, Darling, and we thought that he was #DestinedForBigThings. Well, as usual, we were right. Since then, Danny’s released a couple of brilliant EPs, embarked on his first-ever UK tour, and even been featured on BBC Introducing a couple of times. Hasn’t the lad done well?
So well, in fact, that we couldn’t resist inviting him back to record another Selfie Session for us. And, like the absolute gentleman that he is – or, perhaps, because he was going so stir-crazy that he didn’t know what he was agreeing to – he obliged.
