You remember Jens Kuross, don’t you?
He’s the gravel-voiced singer-songwriter behind such introspective #sadbangers as We Will Run, I Only Ever Loved Your Ghost, and Steadier. Oh, and he also maintains a mean sideline in lending his vocals to banging electronic tracks by some of the best producers in the game. 👇
He’s not too bad at all, is he?
Well, if you like what you’re hearing, then we’ve got some good news for you: Jens Kuross has just announced that he’ll be releasing his debut album, The Man Nobody Can Touch, on September 25th.
The ten-track LP will include such smash-hit sad songs as Done With Dancing, Happiness, and The Anchor, as well as Jens’ brand new single, Painkiller.
If you haven’t already heard Painkiller, then you’ll be thoroughly delighted to know that it’s another typically upbeat offering from everyone’s favourite melancholic melody maker. And that, when we asked Jens to explain the meaning of the track, he was in as upbeat a mood as ever.
“I usually find myself returning to my own internalized shame and embarrassment”, chirped Jens. “The vulnerability in processing all of that darkness and confusion is an overflowing fountain of meaningful and poignant lyrical content.”
