Tom Grennan + Frankie Beetlestone, live in London: spunky pop perfection from two soon-to-be-superstars

If you ask us, there’s nothing quite like a massive arena show.

The lights. The atmosphere. The £7 pints. And, of course, the music. And as arena shows go, you’ll struggle to find a better one than Tom Grennan, Frankie Beetlestone, and Gracey’s sold-out show at The O2 in London.

Here’s what went down.

Frankie Beetlestone

Sheffield’s Frankie Beetlestone might be an emerging act – but based on the strength of his performance at London’s cavernous O2 Arena, we wouldn’t be surprised if he was headlining the place himself within the next five years.

The singer, songwriter, and performer – whose sound might loosely be described as ‘esoteric’, but veers towards the indie side of the scale – looked oddly at home on a stage as big as The O2’s for a man who’s only just brushed past his 21st birthday.

If you’re looking for a place to start, then you could do worse than checking out set closer (and show highlight) Everything is Changing – and make sure you get a handle on the words before you see him headlining some of the biggest stages in the land. Trust us when we say that it won’t take long.

.

Gracey

An honorable mention must also go to Gracey. ‘Why’s that?’, we hear you ask? Well, dear reader, it’s because she’s bloody brilliant. That is all.

.

Tom Grennan

And then we have Tom Grennan. Arguably the crown prince of feel-good summertime pop, the 27-year-old singer/songwriter has been gracing the stages of the country’s biggest festivals for the last few years – and now, he’s selling out his first arena tour. It’s nice when it all works out, isn’t it?

Oh, and in case you were wondering, it turns out he’s really good at it.

At London’s O2 Arena, Tom Grennan proved without any reasonable doubt that he’s earned the right to be one of the biggest pop stars in the country. His set spanned dancefloor fillers, indie-rock bangers, massive pop songs, and tender, acoustic ballads.

He’s one part pop star, one part rock star, and all parts charisma: don’t miss out on seeing Tom Grennan when you can.
