Snow Patrol, Live at The Eden Sessions 2026: A Sensational Show From Arena-Rock’s Greatest Showmen

We think that it’s quite hard not to enjoy a Snow Patrol gig.

And judging by the crowd’s reaction to their Very Sold Out show at The Eden Sessions, we’re not alone in that sentiment.

On a gorgeous Thursday evening, Gary Lightbody and co. delivered a stellar set of A-list radio anthems and fan favourites, and barely a moment went by where every single member of the capacity crowd wasn’t bellowing along to every single word.

The Northern Irish radio stalwarts have penned more hits than you can shake a rare plant at, and they wheeled them all out in quick succession at The Eden Project. We don’t know about you, but we think that any band who can open with a track as brilliant as Take Back The City, casually drop an anthem like Chocolate into the mix, and then emotionally devastate an entire audience with Run, and all before they’ve reached the midway point of their set, deserves some serious plaudits.

.

And it goes without saying that, after more than twenty years in the game, they’ve become a rather good live band along the way.

They perform brilliantly, lead by longstanding frontman Gary Lightbody, and backed by (among others) a certain Mr. Johnny McDaid, songwriter to the stars, and perhaps best known for co-penning most of Ed Sheeran’s biggest smashes over the last decade-and-a-bit. Because who said that members of era-defining Noughties alt-rock bands can’t have hobbies?

It’s also hard to argue with the sheer grandeur of The Eden Project as a backdrop. If you’ve never checked it out, then you’re seriously missing out. Not only is it nestled in a genuinely gorgeous corner of Cornwall, but it’s also a one-of-a-kind venue that manages to consistently attract some of the planet’s biggest names to an otherwise quiet corner of South-West England. And you’ll get to see those iconic biomes.

We won’t know about you, but we’d consider that a win-win.

.

But alas, before it seems like any time at all has passed, Snow Patrol hit the final notes of Just Say Yes and disappear into the night.

They’ve been topping charts and selling out arenas for more than two decades – and based on tonight’s show at The Eden Sessions, it’s easy to see why.

They’ve got the hits, they’ve got the showmanship, and they know exactly how to have a capacity crowd in the palm of their hands before they’ve even reached the end of their first song.

What more could you ask for, really?
