If there are two things we love, it’s festivals and the seaside.
At one, you’ve got a prime opportunity to swan about with your friends, take in some of the sights and sounds of a genuine British cultural staple, and inevitably leave with some degree of sunburn from your slap-dash attempt at ‘doing your own back’. And at the other, you’ll get a glimpse of the sea and a day on the beach.
As ‘things we need to do in the summer’ go, that feels like a fairly comprehensive list. It’s just a shame that the two rarely go hand-in-hand, isn’t it?
.
Well, dear reader, what if we told you that there’s a place where you can do both?
Enter Boardmasters. The South-Western stalwart has long since established itself as a genuine highlight of the British festival calendar, with superstar headliners like George Ezra, Sam Fender, and Lorde (!!!) rubbing shoulders with some of the country’s hottest up-and-coming talent, with them all combining to ensure that any trip to Boardmasters is a summer festival getaway that you’ll never regret.
Now, we all know that at the core of any great memory is a fantastic moment. And if there’s one thing Boardmasters 2026 promised, it’s a slew of must-see moments that’ll stick in your mind long after you’ve pulled down your tent and trekked your tired self back to your hometown.
Like these ones, for example.
Fatboy Slim will kick things off with a bang – and a banger or two – on the Friday night
.
Ren will roll up for a rare live performance
.
Lily Allen will be playing that album in full on the Saturday night
.
The Kooks will arrive with an armful of indie staples
.
Keo will represent the next generation of guitar gods
.
Tinie Tempah will be blasting out some serious mid-2010s bops
.
And Kasabian will close the festival in stadium-sized style
.
What’s that? You want to see the poster for Boardmasters 2026? Oh, go on then.
