We asked Devon singer-songwriter Addie to tell us about one of his favourite artists, so he wrote us this lovely little piece on the fantastically talented Ryan Inglis.
There are many things I expected/hoped for 2012 to bring me so far – money, fame and fortune for a start! However, one of those things wasn’t the amazingly talented Ryan Inglis. The Weston-Super-Mare based Singer/Songwriter has been making quite a name for himself recently as he stamps his identity in the musical world. After beating Coldplay and U.S rockers, Kings Of Leon, to the top of the Amazon rock charts last year with his track Secret, he even caught up with well known singer Ed Sheeran in the itunes charts, getting to number 4 with the same track.
June 2012 will see Ryan Inglis release his brand new single, Feel Any Feeling. Recorded at the world famous Abbey Studios and funded for by his fans, this great track should see him do just as well in 2012, as he did in 2011.
Starting off with some guitar tapping skills (that are made to sound far easier than they actually are), the song then picks up with some drums and ambient sounding lead guitar, similar in style to something you might find on Colplday’s first album, Parachutes. We are then graced with the sound of Ryan’s voice as he moves through the song like a breeze of fresh air. After a guitar solo that takes us back to classic rock roots, the song then progresses into its final bow of sound and we hear a technical yet mellow sounding outro between an acoustic and electric guitar.
Overall, Feel Any Feeling blesses our ears with the sweet sound of acoustic and folk-style ambience with strong influences from a rock background, and that’s what makes it unique enough to listen to over and over again.
