They’ll be joined by Rationale, Gavin James, Frances, Clean Cut Kid, and many more
Gloucestershire’s Barn on the Farm Festival have announced the first wave of acts for this summer’s bash. The rural weekender was one of our highlights of last year’s festival season, and this year’s festival is shaping up to be even better. Here are just a few of the acts who are going to be gracing the stage at one of the country’s most intimate festivals:
Jack Garratt
It’s hard to avoid Jack Garratt at the moment. He’s already won the Brits Critics’ Choice Award, announced (and then promptly sold out) a show at London’s Brixton Academy and finished top of the BBC Sound of 2016 poll, and he’s only just released his debut album. His set at last year’s Barn on the Farm was jaw-droppingly amazing, so we couldn’t be happier that he’ll be back to headline the Main Stage on the Sunday night of this year’s Barn on the Farm:
Oh Wonder
Londoners Oh Wonder’s set at Barn on the Farm will mark the pop duo’s first-ever festival headline set. To be honest, we’re surprised that it’s taken this long – their songs are radio-friendly nuggets of catchy pop goodness, and their live shows are some of the best around. We think that they’ll be fantastic, and we can’t wait to see them blow the roof off the Main Stage on the Saturday night of this year’s festival:
Gavin James
The talented Gavin James is going to be one of the highlights of this year’s Barn on the Farm. The emotive singer/songwriter’s dulcet tones have already cracked the top five in his native Ireland, and we can’t wait to see him headline the festival’s Wooden Barn Stage on the Saturday evening:
Frances
We seriously can’t get enough of Frances. She’s only twenty-two, but she’s already been shortlisted for the Brits Critics’ Choice Award, and her heartfelt piano ballads have gained her a mass of acclaim from a small army of fans and critics alike. She’ll be headlining the Wooden Barn Stage on the Sunday of the festival, and we highly recommend going down and checking her out:
Dagny
We think that Dagny’s going to be huge. We first came across her when she played alongside Kodaline and James Morrison at last month’s brilliant Stand Up To Cancer gig at London’s Union Chapel, and we were instantly blown away by her energy as a performer and by her bombastic pop choruses. She’s definite one-to-watch, and she’s a sure bet to be a festival favourite after her set at this year’s Barn on the Farm:
