It’s a pretty solid list this year
It’s that time of year again. The BBC Music Sound of 2017 longlist has just been unveiled, and we think it’s the strongest it’s been for years. In case you can’t remember, here’s how the Sound of 2017 competition works: the BBC asked 170 music industry experts to name their three favourite new acts, and the 15 acts with the most votes made it on to the longlist.
The top five will be revealed in January on BBC Radio 1, with the BBC Music Sound Of 2017 winner announced on Friday 6th January on Clara Amfo‘s show. Pretty exciting, huh? In the meantime, here’s the full longlist:
AJ Tracey
Anderson .Paak
Cabbage
Dave
Declan McKenna
Jorja Smith
Maggie Rogers
Nadia Rose
Rag ‘n’ Bone Man
Ray BLK
RAYE
Stefflon Don
The Amazons
The Japanese House
