It’s our highlight of the summer for a reason
Okay, so we know this is a bold statement: but, we’ve got a funny feeling that this year’s Barn on the Farm Festival is going to be the best yet.
Why, we hear you ask? Well, that’s a tricky question. It could be because it’s yet again taking place in the midst of an actual working farm in the heart of glorious Gloucestershire. It could be because it’s the only festival we’ve been to for a long time where each and every attendee is there solely for the purposes of enjoying the music. Heck, it could just be because we’ll get to see the farm’s resident ostrich – yes, a real-life ostrich – again.
Or, it could just be because we think that this year’s line-up is looking absolutely bloomin’ beautiful. The festival has just unveiled the first wave of acts for its 2018 edition, and there are some real treats nestled in there. Here are our picks from this first announcement:
The inimitable Tom Grennan will be headlining the Saturday night
Indie legends Mystery Jets will be gracing the Main Stage
Rising star Jade Bird will be bringing her country-soul to the farm
Sensitive songwriter Lewis Capaldi is going to be taking to the stage in Gloucestershire
The fantastic Lily Moore will be there and ready to blow some socks off
And, after a triumphant performance at last year’s festival, indie-poppers OUTLYA will be bringing their anthemic indie-stomp back to Barn on the Farm
