We Got Haytor To Make You A Playlist Of Their Favourite Songs And It Is #Banging

We really, really like these guys

We’ve told you about Haytor before. You remember them, right? They’re a band from Exeter/Bristol, and they have a strange habit of writing the kind of folk-pop melodies that you just can’t help but get embedded in your head. Like this one:

They happen to have great taste, too

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: we’re convinced that there must be some unwritten law of The Music Industry™ dictating that every band who write great songs must also have Extremely Good Taste in Tunes. That’s why we asked the band to put together a playlist of their favourite songs, exclusively for your listening pleasure – and, dear reader, we’re pleased to tell you that they haven’t disappointed.

You can find Haytor‘s full playlist at the bottom of this page – but, for now, here’s Austin from the band telling you why they chose a few of the songs that were fortunate enough to make the final list:

Foo Fighters – Learn To Fly

Foo Fighters are my absolute favourite band, and Learn To Fly was the first song of theirs I heard, so it will always be in my top five favourite songs.

Bo Burnham – #Deep

‘Bit of a silly one, but ordering a Dominos and watching Bo Burnham’s “What” is a bit of a long standing tradition for us: we sing along to the whole show, and this one is an absolute banger, so it had to be in there.

John Mayer – Slow Dancing in a Burning Room

‘I don’t think we’ve had a single practice where we haven’t had Jonny or Ryan playing the riff from this for about 10 minutes, so it’s definitely in our heads a lot.

OUTLYA – White Light

‘We played with these guys little while ago – it was one of our absolute favourite gigs so far and I haven’t been able to get this song out of my head since, it’s constantly on in the car.

WALK THE MOON – Shut Up and Dance

‘We’ve covered this song from the very beginning and it is just the most fun song EVER – I truly believe it’s impossible for anybody to not sing along.
