This lad is definitely going places
It’s fair to say that Harvey Causon has had a fairly stellar few months. Not only has he released his best work to date (in the form of his Murphy’s Hand EP, in case you were wondering), but he’s also set out on his first-ever UK mini-tour. We went down to the final shot of the tour – a hometown set at Bristol’s The Lousiana, no less – and we thought that he was, quite frankly, absolutely bloody brilliant. Want to find out why? Just scroll down, dear reader, and allow us to tell you…
Seriously, he wasn’t bad at all
He may only have a handful of releases under his belt so far, but Harvey Causon is already every inch the star. It’s not just the fact that his tracks are gorgeously constructed slices of alt-indie brilliance, complete with seriously impressive vocals and layer upon layer of beautiful guitar, synth and keyboard tracks; no, it also has quite a bit to do with the fact that Mr. Causon appears to have already nailed the art of holding his own in the live arena.
His set at Bristol’s The Lousiana was only just over an hour long, but it was more than enough to prove to us that this lad is well worth keeping an eye on over the coming months and years; and, if he keeps releasing stellar material at the rate he has been over the last few months, then we wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him crop up on a few critics’ tips lists for 2020. So, be sure to keep an eye on Harvey Causon, and make sure you head down and see him the next time he’s in your town: in case you hadn’t noticed, we think he’s pretty great.
