We’ve Convinced Devon Folk-Rockers Haytor To Record ‘Lovesick Girl’ For Our Selfie Sessions

We couldn’t resist asking these guys back

You remember Haytor, right? They’re that five-piece pop-rock band we keep banging on about: y’know, the ones we said were ‘the South-West’s answer to Marcus Mumford and Brendon Urie‘s bastard lovechild’? Yeah, those guys.

You may, of course, also remember them from this great Selfie Session that they recorded for us a few months ago. If you haven’t seen it, then let us break it down for you: they took a track by a little band called The 1975, added their own inimitable twist to it, and absolutely smashed it out of the park:

Guess who’s back? Back again?

So, after that, how could we not ask them back to record another special Selfie Session for us? This time, they brought along one of their own tracks: namely, a little song called Lovesick Girl.

We happen to think that this Session might just be one of the best we’ve ever had the pleasure of publishing, so we’re not going to tell you too much about it: instead, we’re merely going to tell you that the song is more than likely to be the mournfully moving soundtrack for your next heartbreak/bad mood/lonely bus journey; that the performance is as strong as any we’ve seen on this site for a long ol’ time; and, frankly, that we’d seriously urge you to hit that Play button and check it out for yourselves.

After all, it is a bit of a treat.
