Singer-Songwriter Danny Starr’s New Music Video Was Filmed In His Private Ball Pit (And We’ve Got The Exclusive Premiere)

It was filmed in a ball pit, in his student flat (!!!)

You know about Danny Starr, don’t you? He’s the London-based singer-songwriter with the knack of writing irritatingly catchy pop melodies and attaching them to razor-sharp snippets of lyrical wisdom, and we think that he’s pretty great. He even recorded a Selfie Session for us a couple of years ago. What a guy.

That, however, is not the only reason why we love Mr. Starr here at One on One HQ. No, the other reason why we think Danny Starr is pretty flippin’ cool is that he and his flatmates turned the spare room of their London student flat into – wait for it – a fully-functioning ball pit.

We’re not kidding.

Ballin’ (The Tab, October 2018)

The track itself isn’t half bad either

Now, if there are three things we love in life it’s good music, great artists, and – well, ball pits. That’s why we’re thoroughly delighted to not only be exclusively premiering the video for Danny Starr‘s new single Plastic Magic right here on our humble website, but to be able to tell you that it was filmed entirely within the confines of Danny and his flatmates’ very own private ball pit. How cool is that?

We’ve even got a few words from Danny about the track, because we’re just really bloody nice like that:

The inspiration for this song came during a period of being increasingly aware of human self-consciousness – and, after learning about Botulinum Toxin in a lecture at uni, I decided those words had to be in a song, so I went home and wrote about the things people do in our modern world to feel comfortable in their skin’.

We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that this is probably the best ball-pit-themed-music-video we’ve seen all year – and, what’s more, the song that comes along with it isn’t half bad either. So, dear reader, why not just sit back, relax, and enjoy three minutes of pure musical pleasure from one of One on One‘s favourite emerging singer-songwriters? Frankly, we think that you’ll rather like it.
