Oi! You! Check Out Our Top 10 Sets from The Last 10 Years of Barn On The Farm Festival!

Sorry for shouting, but this is Quite Important

It’s the time we’ve all been waiting for, dear reader: the dawn of festival season. Last weekend saw the likes of Dot To Dot Festival, Love Saves The Day, We Are FSTVL and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend take over the stages of fields and cities up and down our fair land, and we for one cannot wait to spend this summer stuck in a boggy fields with our best mates, swigging lukewarm cider and singing our hearts out to whichever Tom, Dick or Harry happens to be belting out their respective bangers at the time.

Of all the festivals in the country, though, we think that that Barn On The Farm might just be our favourite. Nay, scrap that – we know that it’s our favourite. After all, not only does it take place on An Actual Farm, but it also consistently boasts one of the best line-ups of new and emerging talent that you’ll find at any festival, anywhere:

Barn on the Farm

Aw, ain’t that cute? It’s its birthday!

Yes, dear reader, it’s true: Barn On The Farm is celebrating its tenth birthday this year. Doesn’t time fly? To mark the occasion, we’ve narrowed down our top ten performances from the last ten years of the festival. It was tricky, but we think we did a good job – but, if you think we’ve missed one, why not let us know over on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram?

James Bay – Main Stage, 2015

The hat-wielding troubadour had just been named the eighth winner of the BRITs Critics Choice Award when he was announced as the Sunday night headliner for Barn On The Farm 2016, but it was his sunset slot on the Main Stage that convinced us that he was ready for superstardom.

Jade Bird – Intimate Friday, 2017

She was but a small-time singer-songwriter when she played an early slot at the festival’s Intimate Friday back in 2017; but, with numerous UK tours, slots on BBC Radio 1’s A-List and a debut album release under her belt since then, it’s safe to say that this Bird has soared since we saw her at Over Farm two short years ago.

The Farm Band – Main Stage, 2016

A supergroup comprised of Gabrielle Aplin, Hudson Taylor, Joe from Amber Run and a few of their mates played a set of each other’s songs and then ended with a Beatles cover. Need we say more? Epic.

Jack Garratt – Main Stage, 2016

‘I’M BACKKKKK!’, he roared as he strode onto the stage for his first-ever festival headline slot; and, as anybody who’d seen him sub-headline the previous year was acutely aware, Mr. Garratt and his legion of drum pads, synths, and things-that-make-sounds were more than up to the challenge.

Lauren Aquilina – Wooden Barn Stage, 2018

PROSE – Intimate Friday, 2017

Ed Sheeran – Wooden Barn Stage, 2011

Plested – Outdoor Stage, 2018

Sunset Sons – Wooden Barn Stage, 2015

Rag ‘n’ Bone Man – Outdoor Stage, 2016
