Dermot Kennedy is (probably) the best alt-pop singer-songwriter on the planet right now. Not only have his last few singles consistently made us revisit our ongoing Song Of The Year rankings, but he’s also managed to smash it out of the park with his new single, Outnumbered.
It’s a radio-ready alternative folk song that combines Dermot‘s ‘distinctive’ blend of hip-hop beats and folk sensibilities with lyrics that are worthy of getting them tattooed onto your skin – “I’m in love with how your soul’s a mix of chaos and art”, anyone? – and we think that it’s absolutely gorgeous.
