Trust us, we’ve got your backs
We all know that the hardest part of going to a festival is deciding who to see: so, why not let us do it for you? We’ve scoured the line-up of this year’s Reading Festival and pinpointed the acts you have to see at this year’s bash; and, of course, a handful of other artists who are worth taking a look at, too.

You can’t afford to miss…
If ever there’s going to be a definitive The 1975 show, it’s likely to be this one. Matty Healy and co. have made no secret of the fact that their Reading Festival headline slot is a bucket-list moment for them, so expect them to bring their A-game to Richfield Avenue when they close the Main Stage on the Friday night.

There’s certainly an argument to be made for just camping out at the Main Stage all day: after all, any day where you sequentially see Twin Atlantic, Charli XCX, You Me At Six, The Wombats, Royal Blood, and The 1975 is probably going to be a good one. Elsewhere, though, we’d recommend checking out Sea Girls‘ early afternoon slot on the BBC Radio 1 Stage; we don’t think that they’ll be playing that far down the bill for much longer.

You can’t afford to miss…
Billie Eilish is almost certainly the hottest prospect in pop right now. She’s already been upgraded from the festival’s BBC Radio 1 Stage to a prime slot on the Main Stage; and, if her Glastonbury set is anything to go by, she’s going to have torn it a new one by the time she’s done.

AJ Tracey, Slowthai, and Georgia have spent this year rising faster than a SpaceX rocket, and for good reason; if you do catch them, they’re likely to be amongst your highlights of the whole weekend. You’ll also be pleasantly surprised by just how many stone-cold bangers Twenty One Pilots will manage to squeeze into their debut UK festival headline slot.
Sunday 25th August
You can’t afford to miss…
Best Of You. Everlong. The Pretender. All My Life. Times Like These. Need we say more? If there was ever a band whose biggest hits were tailor-made to be screamed at the top of your lungs, it’s the Foo Fighters. Expect screams, tears, and a close-to-three-hour set from the living rock legends.

YUNGBLUD‘s incendiary live sets are swiftly becoming the stuff of legend, Machine Gun Kelly is one of the hottest prospects in mainstream rap right now, and The Amazons have proven themselves to be more than capable of penning precisely the kind of shit-hot guitar anthems that you’ll be sorely craving by 5 PM on the Sunday of Reading Festival.
