MARINA’s ‘Purge The Poison’ Is A Rip-Roaring Attack On The Pitfalls Of Humanity (And An Absolute Banger)

Britain’s most criminally overlooked pop star returns with her first new music since November 2020’s ‘Man’s World’.

This is properly good, isn’t it? It’s called ‘Purge The Poison’ and it’s the first single to be taken from MARINA’s new album, ANCIENT DREAMS IN A MODERN LAND. (Which is out on June 11th, ‘btw’.).

If we were Proper Music Journalists, we’d probably tell you that pounding drums and contemporary glam-rock riffs are twinned with a blisteringly fast vocal melody and a razor-sharp set of observations about how the human race is ruining everything to create one of the year’s standout pop tracks.

But, we’re not. So, instead, we’re going to tell you that it carries a slight whiff of ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ about it and that it’s well worth three minutes and seventeen seconds of anyone’s time.

So, what are you waiting for? Check it out:
