The Northampton singer/songwriter delivers a raw and intimate take on ‘Wasting Time’, exclusively for our Selfie Sessions.
You know Billy Lockett, don’t you? He’s the prodigious piano man whose sparse, intimate ballads have a habit of crawling into your mind and sucker-punching you in the soul.
He’s also the guy who’s just released that new acoustic version of his track ‘Don’t Mean A Thing‘. It’s a stripped-back and vulnerable rendition of one of the best pieces of music that Billy’s released to date and we think that you’re going to love it.
.
He’s not bad at all, is he?
Well, if you like what you’re hearing, then we’ve got some good news for you. Not only has Billy Lockett recorded a special Selfie Session for us – more on that later – but he’s also heading out on a socially distanced tour later this month.
Some of the shows are sold out, but there are still a handful of tickets remaining for the other dates here.

But, for now, you’ll have to make do with this.
A few weeks ago, we asked Billy if he’d like to record a raw, stripped-back version of his track ‘Wasting Time’, exclusively for One on One’s Selfie Sessions. And guess what? He said yes.
That’s how we’ve ended up with this. A gorgeous live performance from an artist who’s at the top of his game, and one that was recorded in the most intimate of settings: in the artist’s own home, using nothing more than their own mobile phone.
Sure, it’s not the same as seeing him in the flesh: but we’ve got a feeling that this Selfie Session will sufficiently fill the Billy Lockett-shaped hole in your soul for now.
