It’s taken from his new album, Without Star or Compass, and it’s rather bloody good.
Have you heard of Kennebec? He’s the Portland-based master of jazzy alt-electronic compositions and we think that you’re going to love him. He released his first album, Departure, back in 2020, and now he’s getting ready to follow it up with his sophomore effort, Without Star or Compass, on October 7th, 2022.
.
It’s sounding good, isn’t it?
If like us, you’re eagerly counting down the days until you can wrap your finely tuned ears around the full record, you’ll be delighted to know that Kennebec has elected to share another delectable slice of it before the full-length album’s released into the wild.
The slice in question is called ‘The Great Divide’, and it’s a collaboration with the high priestess of psychedelic Arabic jazz herself, Yazz Ahmed. We could tell you that it’s a genuinely entrancing piece of subtle, multi-faceted electro-jazz music – but why would we, when you can just click the Play button below and check it out for yourself?
