Rose White Has Recorded A Soulful Version of ‘Filthy Dream’ for Our Selfie Sessions

Boasting a voice that overflows with tones, this new Session from Rose White – performing her new single, ‘Filthy Dream’ – is guaranteed to be on repeat from the moment you press play.

Yes, good people, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. We’re back with another Selfie Session – and oh Lord is it a good one.

Poland-born, London-based artist Rose White fuses contemporary pop stylings with elements of soul and funk. Her new single ‘Filthy Dream’ combines dark themes of opulence and greed with an experience of toxic relationships.

A sultry instrumental leaves space for Rose’s voice to dance like a shower of golden confetti, gliding gently through the air with the style and grace of a ballroom dancer. (Which does make sense, considering that she did actually used to be a ballroom dancer).

If you asked us, we’d tell you that it was written from the perspective of a wealthy man’s lover who begins to feel trapped in the fairytale of endless wealth and comfort.

If you asked Rose, however, she’d probably tell you something like this:

Recently we’ve been hearing a lot about the wealthiest men in the world. I got intrigued by the thought of what their lives must look like; filled with abundance and power. With time, I realised that ‘Filthy Dream’ is actually a song about toxic relationships. In this case the toxicity comes from money, but there are numerous other factors that can serve as red flags. This song is a gentle reminder that even though we can have passionate chemistry with someone, it doesn’t mean we won’t get hurt in a long time. True colours come out at some point.”

Oozing with confidence, we’ll be damned if Rose White’s new Selfie Session doesn’t get your head bopping.

‘Filthy Dream’ is the latest single from Rose’s upcoming EP ‘One Fourth Mark’, set for release on February 24th, 2023. Whilst we would use the One on One time machine to bypass this frustrating wait, due to a sad malfunction at our staff Christmas party, our Editor is currently trapped in a time loop watching Mariah Carey’s 1996 live performance of All I Want For Christmas Are You. (Technical support would be appreciated.)

So for now, we will just have to wait impatiently. But, in the meantime, at least we’ve got this cracking new Selfie Session to keep us occupied.
