Singer and songwriter Danny Starr has been featured in the noble pages of One on One various times over the years.
Having recorded a Selfie Session for us back in 2016 and then again in 2020, it’s fair to say that we can’t get enough of this man.
He’s grown a lot since 2016, gaining support from the likes of BBC Introducing and Rolling Stone France, as well as a range of media outlets in the USA, South America, and Canada. And now he’s back, with a brand new five-tracker – and it’s got everybody in the scene going mad.

His latest project, ‘For Hungrier Hearts’, is a 5-track EP released by the Londoner, born from Syrian and Irish blood.
Boasting a talent for attention-grabbing melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, Danny’s music touches upon themes of escape and belonging. Having released the first single from the project ‘Painting Over Bad Blood’ back in 2022, the second single ‘Over The Edge’ followed in March 2023, and with the long wait finally over, the full EP is now available.
The EP itself is a blend of indie-rock and folk, offering the audience a mix of bright and bubbly tracks like ‘Painting Over Bad Blood’, combined with moodier tones that can be found in ‘Over The Edge’. We think that it’s brilliant and we’re pretty sure that you will too.
