On the one hand, you’ve got a veritable plethora of historic monuments, towers, and palaces – and on the other, you’ve got a world-class selection of the finest English pubs to keep you rallied and rowdy until the early hours.
Sometimes, though, you need a little bit more than beer to keep you going. Occasionally, after the last pints have been smashed back and the final crumbs of the pub peanuts have been devoured, your soul develops a hankering for the greatest thing on the planet: world-class live music.
But fortunately for you, dear reader, American Express presents BST Hyde Park Festival has you covered.

Set in the midst of London’s beautiful Hyde Park, BST Hyde Park kicked off in 2013 with The Rolling Stones reliving their legendary 1969 gig, and it’s spent the subsequent 11 years bringing the best and brightest of global talent to the heart of the greatest city in the world.
If you ask the festival’s PR team, they’ll tell you that the event has featured ‘many now famous shows from Carole King, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Robbie Williams, Black Sabbath, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Lana Del Rey and so many more.‘ Which sounds quite good, really, doesn’t it?
If you asked us, though, we’d just tell you the truth: that the reason why it’s managed to pull so many established stars through its gates over the years is because it’s, quite possibly, one of the best festivals in the country.
The location is phenomenal, the sound is great, and the music is always amazing – and we’re delighted to report that this year is no exception.
