We really do think that this’ll be one for the ages
Some things in this world just seem set in stone, don’t they? It’ll rain in England in the summer. Football isn’t coming home. The prices in a Central London pub will make you want to spit out a mouthful of your small-batch-brewed pale ale, before you remember that the cost of each mouthful would’ve equated to a small fortune in The Good Old Days that your Grandfather always told you about.
But sometimes, dear reader, there are Nice and Positive things that we can add to that list of sure-fire certainties. And in our minds, one of them is that The National’s show at London’s iconic Crystal Palace Bowl on Friday 5th July is almost certainly going to be one of the shows of the summer.
Here’s why.
The National
The modern-day alt-rock legends have spent the last two decades building a reputation as a fail-safe live band, and for good reason – they’re really bloody good. Do expect: a set of some of the finest atmospheric alternative music of the last twenty-something years. Don’t expect: frontman Aaron Dessner’s now-oft collaborator, Taylor Swift, to rock up for a Folklore/Evermore mash-up section (with associated choreography).

Unknown Mortal Orchestra
If you’re the kind of person who’d happily respond to an ad reading ‘New Zealand psych-rock masters seek London crowd for an energetic set of lo-fi, yet top-notch, guitar music’, then you’re going to love these guys.
.
Kevin Morby
Indie-rock. Folk-rock. Omni-productive multi-hyphenate artist. Is there anything this guy can’t do? If you’re heading to this show, you’re in for a treat.

This Is The Kit
This Is The Kit – or Kate Stables to her friends, family, and lawyer – is a British folk-rock musician who makes really rather lovely folk-rock music. If you, or anyone in your life, is even a passive fan of folk-rock music, then we at One on One feel that you will likely very much enjoy This Is The Kit.
