Marcus Royce’s ‘The Road To Royce Series Is An Intimate Look Into One Of America’s Best Under-The-Radar Storytellers

You really need to check this out

You’ve heard of Marcus Royce, haven’t you? He’s the Minneapolis-based multi-hyphenate whose works have spanned a range of adult contemporary pop solo albums, a slew of acclaimed writings, and even the most downloaded Holiday song on Amazon for a few years running. If you ask us, that’s not bad going really.

.

‘But what’s next on the to-do list of this acclaimed multi-disciplinary artist?’, we hear you ask?

The answer, dear reader, is simple: write, record, and film a half-hour documentary about his art, life, and journey away from a world of high-intensity religion and into a world of self-acceptance.

In his ‘The Road to Royce’ series, Marcus Royce – formerly known as Mark Smeby – documents his life, travels, stories, and transformation from his old alias of Mark Smeby to his newly liberated – and freshly relaunched – Marcus Royce project.

The full documentary is released on July 18th, but Royce is dropping a new Chapter of the doc every Thursday ahead of then. You can play on the first two Chapters below – and if you like what you’re seeing, don’t forget to check out Marcus Royce’s YouTube channel to be kept in the loop when the next Chapters (and full-length documentary) drop.
