You’ve heard of Kaia Laurielle, haven’t you?
She’s the South London singer, songwriter, and artist who makes the kind of emotive, nostalgic, and confident alt-R&B songs that are destined to dwell in your brain for hours by the time you get to the first chorus. Like this one, for instance: it’s called Again and we happen to think that it’s rather bloody good.
.
See? We told you she was good.
We think that she’s so good, in fact, that we couldn’t resist asking her to record a live performance for the latest instalment of our oft-mimicked, never-replicated Selfie Sessions series. The song in question, Fragments, is an anxious attachment anthem with lyrics that centre around the insecurities that are generated by dating the wrong person. It’s self-aware, succinct, and utterly bloody brilliant.
But why would we tell you how good it is when you could just find out for yourself?
